Elisa Morgan, Former MOPS CEO, and Publisher of “Fulfill” Magazine, Mobilizes Inactive Christians

One night, as Elisa Morgan sat in her living room, working and eating dinner in front of the TV, Brian Williams announced a special report from Ann Curry. Elisa looked up to see a story on a tale of torture, describing the conditions of the adults mentally retarded in Serbia, who were kept in cribs their entire lives.

As the story went on to show images of these grown men, in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs and rocking back and forth, Elisa found herself on her feet in front of the TV, hands raised to the sky, howling for these men. She wondered how can this be?
As she began noticing more and more of these soul troubling tragedies over the next couple weeks, she found herself returning to a familiar passage in scripture and seeing it for the first time. In Mark 14, Mary of Bethany anointed Jesus’s body with fine perfumes. It wasn’t much, and some people didn’t approve, but she did what she could

. What if we all used our God given talents to do one small thing? What could we accomplish if we all did what we could?
