But … But.. But….
If God puts you to it, He will get you through it! In Exodus God spoke to Moses through a burning bush and gave him a task, Moses had a few reasons of why he should not complete it. Does God give us tasks that we to come up with 101 Ways Why we shouldn’t, couldn’t or cannot complete it? Or maybe you are like me and think well maybe later when I’M ready because the feeling of I am not good enough or smart enough come to mind. Similar to what Moses is saying to God, “Who am I?”
But god responds with I am who I am. One thing I have learned is that – He is who He says He is! He will do what He says He will do! He will be with you the whole time. Holding your hand, giving you assistance as He sees fit and cheering you on.
As a mom we would not tell our young child go sweep the floor, pick up the mess and throw it away. Turn around and walk away without even telling your child what he or she needs, how to do it and where anything is! Especially if your child has never done it before.. a mom would never set up her child up for failure like that.
God, our heavenly Father, would not do that to His children either. He will provide His children with the skills needed, he will make the tools valuable to complete it, He will be there every step of the way and in the end He will celebrate with us the finished task that will more likely prepare us for the next one.
I remember hearing Beth Moore once stating that if God gives us a word – the word s for now not later. He is ready for you NOW it is in his timing. It is on His calendar today. All we have to do is be willing to accept it. Just like Moses we can say ” Here I am”
